To you who stopped pursuing me

Thank you. Really. Thank you. Thanks for sparing me from the pain of regret from possibly abandoning myself just to please you. Though we don’t know much about each other from the time we've met in this lifetime, I could say that your soul knows that it needs to stay away from me. I know how hard it is to resist the urge to pursue me and be with me as I felt the same way with you, too, but I want to say that I admire your spirit. You know I could have gotten hurt more than the pain that caused your sudden absence in my life if you chose to choose control over love. You spared me from the pain deeper than the hurt of endlessly questioning why you left. I may not fully understand it but I know in my heart that it has to happen. It isn't easy figuring the beauty out of this but I'm glad it was realized sooner than I thought it might be. So, thank you for saving me even at the expense of not trying to try the many possibilities of us.
